Dr. Jasmin is a visionary molecular biologist and biotech entrepreneur with over 15 years of research experience in molecular microbiology and environmental biotechnology. She earned her Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) in 2008 and has since been awarded several prestigious postdoctoral fellowships, including the Women Scientist A & B fellowships (DST, Government of India), the Dr. D.S. Kothari Fellowship (UGC), and the Dr. Varghese Kurian Special Fellowship (KSCSTE).
Her research spans the biotechnological potential of host-associated microorganisms across marine, coral reef, and estuarine ecosystems, with postdoctoral work conducted at India’s leading institutes such as DBT-Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography, and CUSAT. She has also completed advanced training programs both nationally and internationally, deepening her expertise in microbial ecology and applied biosciences.
As the CEO of AuRyn Biosolutions LLP , Dr. Jasmin leads with a commitment to innovation, sustainability, and translational impact. She is also the Co-founder and Managing Director of Msortia LLP , a startup focused on scalable biotech solutions, and serves on the board of the Trevor Platt Science Foundation , supporting global scientific collaboration.
